When you experience tranquillity, You are free from disturbance and harm; As though a dove or an angel Has swept you under its arm. But in this world today tranquility does not exist, Instead we create it with pills, vacations and gin and tonics.
To be truly tranquil Is a state that is idyllic, And how can one feel this When our world is heading for an iceberg, And like the titanic we are about to sink.
I think tranquility and ignorance Are best best combined, Because if you can ignore what is around you, It’s possible to relax the mind.
I have been to many meditations, And mindfulness retreats, But it appears my brain cannot shut off Long enough to get some peace.
Tranquility is a deep, clear pool, No noise, no phone and nothings I forgot to do; Unfortunately this place doesn’t exist for me, But perhaps it does for you.
