Until you truly know What it feels like to want to die,

Until you truly know

What it feels like to want to die,

Reserve your confusion and judgment

Until life gives you a try.

Because to get to the place

Where every day is just the same

Laying in your bed,

And self managing the pain;

You have to have had your soul broken,

And your heart torn from your chest.

Something must make you truly believe

A world without you is best.

When the flowers planted inside you,

The day that you were born

Haven’t seen sunshine

Or anything warm,

They begin to wither slowly

And in their place grow weeds;

Twisting up and around your brain -

On your dopamine they feed.

You try to rip them out

But still they continue to grow.

You’ve become a vessel of unhappiness

And you know it’s time to go.

Though the flowers still exist

They’re impossible to see

If nothing good grows in here

I am no longer me.

When you feel more safe strapped to a gurney

Than a tea cup at Disneyland,

Suicidal thoughts

are easy to understand.

So who are you Doctor,

to tell me to go on,

When my behaviour in our current world,

Is collectively viewed as wrong.
