This is poem about forgetting.

Nov. 11

by LunaGrimm

Maybe it's like Alzheimers

I know I've thought about, felt, seen, heard, smelled, and or tasted this before.

Or have I?

I forgot I think, but it seems so familiar and I can't remember.

No wait, I think I remember now.

Never mind, I forgot.

I don't know.

It makes me cry, to rack my mind and feel these feelings but forget the remembered memories of these feelings.

@bernardtwindwil you don't need to thank me friend, just go forward living, and make everything worth it for those around you.

@heyyavocado This is about the most uplifting comment I have ever seen anywhere. I am deeply touched. Your wisdom is immense. Thank you.

@bernardtwindwil if I may, I would love to take the honor of writing a piece on you.

@bernardtwindwil actually, it does not mean the end of you. Parts of us all live on in the people we meet and share our time with. You as a person do not have an ending until the final line and final page in your book, and that does not come until your dying day. You will have something that not all have, yes, but that does not mean it is the end of you. It simply means the rest of your book will be written by an anonymous author. Your family and friends still have pieces of you in and with them all. It is not he end of you, friend. This is not the end of you.

@bernardtwindwil I'm very sorry to hear that, I really am. My best friend lost her grandfather to Alzheimer's and that inspired this piece.

@heyyavocado I am of the age that Alzheimer's is not only a threat. It is my only fear.

@bernardtwindwil thanks, that actually means a lot to me that you're the first to realize hat this is about Alzheimer's and not just forgetting.

This is a sensitive and tender portrayal of the curse of Alzheimer's disease. You did an excellent job portraying the events that do or do not occur in this horrible cursed disease. Great job.!!!!
