monsters will take but never return.

coal machine

a scream, she uttered they backed, away

her hair, is fiery like the soul, she bears

the claws, she brandishes will cut, their pleas

her heart, will slice their fears, and dreams

her skin, will burn their bodies, and scar

a monster, she is they cry, but stay

she eats, their pain and churns, apologies

they soak, the sorries and hope, for better

but no matter, the amount of gold or love

no difference, the amount of care and forgiveness

a monster is a monster, and will always take never return, anything but coal
