Let's debark on the great Amazon River -- your dreams can come true (at least poetically!).

AMAZON DREAM

A dream of many journeyers to South America is to boat on the silty waters of the continent's great river, the Amazon (Amazonas in Spanish and Portuguese).

Ports dot the entire length of the river, from Tingo Maria, Pucallpa, Yurimaguas, Iquitos and Santa Rosa in Peru; Leticia in Colombia; and Tabatinga, Manaus and Belem in Brasil.

Bolivia also has a number of ports.

Today, let us go on a Amazon cruise ... to wherever you wish to go .... from Yurimaguas to Leticia, or Santa Rosa to Iquitos ... from Tabatinga to Manaus ... the river is your road ...

Safe Journeys!

AMAZON DREAM

A ragged ship departs port & starts its journey down the Amazon Basin, dusk wrapping brilliant sunset colors, the jungle falling into black, mysterious sounds echoing across the earthy water of the river softly splashing under the bow.

Weary children snuggle in the arms of their parents, they sway in rhythm to the night breeze that carries a guitar tune from one dark corner where a couple dances, the wild-haired man with his hand in one pocket
