You were the first to ever call me beautiful.
To this day I still don't believe it, but it meant so much to me.
You said, "You're beautiful, you know that?"
The words were so simple, and I never thought it would come from you, of all people.
And seconds later, you asked me, "You don't think you are,
And when I shook my head, you replied,
"Well, that needs to change."
I couldn't even respond, much less argue,
because you kissed me.
And that wasn't the last time you said it either.
Months later, as I was laying in your bed, you looked at me and said,
"You're beautiful, in like... the best way."
I couldn't help but ask,
"Is there a bad beautiful?"
But deep down I knew
that what we had was a bad beautiful.
