(1) Reality in the flesh;

by letspretend

A bully.

She pushed you down, didn't she? She told you things you didn't deserve to hear and treated you a way you never should've been treated, didn't she? It's OK to speak the truth, but she didn't.

She beat you up and crushed you.

You'd cry because of her, didn't you? In the bathroom stall, in your bed at night, sometimes to the friends you wished you had, you'd cry then, didn't you? You cried as you thought it was true.

She lied, don't worry.

She called you useless, fat and ugly, didn't she? She would push you down and belittle your self-worth. She'd call you hopeless, just someone keeping the trees alive.

And you believed her.

Why? Why did you believe her? Couldn't you see how beautiful you were? Can't you see how beautiful you are? Why would you listen to someone like that? Couldn't you see she was lying?

Always fight back with a bully. He is going to beat you down anyway. Go down fighting if you kick, scratch, punch you will not look like such a soft target next time. This was an excellent poem though. I loved it.
