Set you on edge, those raised voices,
The unreasonable reasons given, the random noises.
Turn left, there's someone ready to roast you with their eyes,
Turn right, you will feel the screeching, burning cries.
Look straight ahead, and then look away,
There's no point fighting, keep those monsters at bay.
What is a fight, after all?
Other than a missed call-
Asking you to call back and lock horns,
And engage, no matter how much against it your brain warns.
You'll find many who will stare you down,
You'll find many who'll want you to mirror their frown.
But is that who you really are?
Listen to that kid in you, screaming from far-
"Remember, we are just dots on this massive sea, bobbing nicely,
You want to make the voyage pleasant, so pick your battles wisely!"
