I order a pumpkin spice muffin
And a White Mocha.
I take a bite.
New beginnings burst in my mouth
Warmth, hugging me close
Spice, dances with my tongue, makes me giddy
My stomach soothed from aches of hunger
Makes me alert, look around the world
We're not in Kansas anymore
Because everything is blanketed with color
The hues are inviting and soft, and sharp, the contrast makes me gasp
And I take a sip of my White Mocha. Smooth and still, silently laughing
My breath whispers satisfactions, makes hearts everytime I breathe
Spice, twirls me around, makes me bouncy
And I smile.
