I love and hate winter - it's too cold

An Ode to Winter

You are the winter, Cold and barren.

The ice around your soul Is impenetrable,

But your eyes They hold a frigid beauty Like a single snowflake,

So intricate, That can melt at just a single touch.

The chilly wind Blows me away, And keeps me from coming too close.

But you are enigmatic,

And oh so stunning.

I cannot help But to admire you,

Even just From afar.
