A short poem on jealousy.

Jealousy

The pricking in her eyes as she watches her go

Is a shard that sinks lower and lower, and so,

Waits,

Quiet, till she sees her again, with all new friends, then it grows.

Carving out parts of her, warping her character,

And always pricking, pricking.

Sticking.

Now she only sees her through a cellophane lens,

Not sure where it ends.
