These past few days have felt very different,
the changes so small that the sun still shines just as brightly,
yet for me, it is a wrecking ball through my world
which used to hold me captive in its shrewd prison.
My shoulders feel lighter, the weight of a million gazes suddenly erased and obliterated by the sunlight.
My mind feels alive, the murkiness of my insecurities clearing up as rays of my salvation pierced through
My feet feel tingly, the buzz of my youth surging through the sole.
My hands feel warm, the painful chains that held me back being unlocked
I feel the warm sunlight softly caressing my flaky, naked skin, comforting me after the storm
and I feel my face glowing along with the sun.
