She glances at the slim watch continuing her brisk walk.

The buzzing text brings her to a halt, hand furiously digging in her purse

The buzzing text brings her to a halt, hand furiously digging in her purse hoping he hasn't default on meeting her before the main course.

He sits in the car and types in the directions,

He sits in the car and types in the directions, takes a deep breath and fills himself with false confidence.

This is it,

This is it, he tries to act smooth, he gets out of the car, clumsily stepping on his own shoes.

Her lips lift into a smothered smile at her stumbling muse, heart tripping at the realization

Her lips lift into a smothered smile at her stumbling muse, heart tripping at the realization he's a catch.

He hears a distant and muffled laugh, hoping it wasn't her,

He hears a distant and muffled laugh, hoping it wasn't her, he continues on past the hosting staff.
