I used to dream

Dream Dream Sleep and envision flying, Twirling in the air Now I sleep No dreams, Only nightmares Twisting into fear

I used to sing

Sing Sing Hum and dance to wily tunes Twirling around the grass Now I cry No music Only wailing Twisting into sadness

I used to smile

Smile Smile Grin and laugh along to jokes Twirling my hair round my finger Now I grimace No happiness Only disgust Twisting into nausea

I used to love

Love Love Feel and embrace with each new friend A new life to cherish Now I live No joy Twisting into nothing

I used to be

Be Be A person full of love and smiles Dreams, songs, and beauty Now I'm gone No feelings Twisted and shapeless

Wonderful poem. A bit dark but I'm not complaining. It was written with such skill that I really enjoyed it. Great work!!
