A card maker's wish

As I score and fold this greeting card that I'm about to mail out to a customer,

I took one last look at the front of the card. It says Happy Birthday! on it with colorful flowers scattered all around like confetti. Next to it on my desk is another card, on it

is a watercolor painted blue mountains card with the words, Sorry For Your Loss at the bottom right corner. Holding both cards in my hands, I can't help but think about the receivers of these cards. How one is celebrating another year of life, while the other is mourning over a lost one. Taking a step back, overlooking both cards

I made a quiet wish. I wished that whether it's a time of sorrow or a time of joy, I would be lucky enough to be like these card receivers. To have friends and family who care for me enough to mail me a card that's filled with love.
