Dance

by justshutupxd

There was once a song.

That reminded me of my best friend.

One that spoke of promise.

And of hope.

One begging me to take the riskier option of everything.

Hoping I would dance, instead of sitting it out.

And there is a memory.

One where I laughed as I held onto my best friend.

As we twirled to music only we could hear.

A song that spoke of sadness and death.

But also of affection.

And a love that lasts forever.

And now there is a future.

An event that scares me.

A new memory to be made with someone new.

And a past one that must be forgotten.

A dance,

That needs to be danced.

@bernardtwindwil Unfortunately I didn't see it due to getting ready to go, but thanks nonetheless. I had fun despite the fact that those two idiots seemed to want to make it a hell for me. They had their chances. And I don't think one of them likes that I'm moving on. But he'll be okay lol.

@justshutupxd I hope I'm in time. Live it up!!! Make them jealous. Mainly forget those losers.

@bernardtwindwil Thank you. Prom is this weekend and I am going with one of my 'friends' while trying to forget the last two years. Because neither of them are mine anymore. And unfortunately, both of them will be there as well. It's scaring me a lot and I have less than six hours to get over it.
