Once we were strangers
shy but polite as gentlemen are ought to be.
As we met, we grew closer
sharing our journey.
We took some turns,
we got out of each other's sight.
As darkness drew closer
you kept longing for some light.
It pains me to admit,
I lost you along the way.
I still can't face the reality,
that your path just ended one day.
To meet you at the end of my own path,
is what I'm hoping for.
Because when we'll meet again,
we won't be strangers anymore.
