Jon sighed and shut off his playstation.
It was 10 PM
His Parents should be back by now...
They probably got too drunk
Jon shook his head as he crawled into his bed.
They would probably be home around noon tomorrow
He hated when his parents got drunk
It was as if they didn't care about him anymore.
Jon Heard a noise
It sounded like it was coming from the kitchen.
Jon listened closely
Someone was downstairs
Surely it wasn't his parents.
The car was loud and he would've seen the headlights.
It wasn't his brother either.
He was sleeping over at a friends house for the weekend. His brother wasn't known for forgetting stuff.
Jon's heart sped up
Someone had Broken in...
Jon slowly sat up, walking over to his door.
He slowly pulled it open.
Jon peered down the dark hallway.
And Then he noticed
The noises had stopped
He slowly made his way down the hall.
The light at the bottom of the staircase turned on.
Jon stood frozen in fear
Then he heard footsteps slowly coming up the steps.
Jon didn't know what to do. His feet wouldn't move.
He was stuck
A figure appeared. But whoever it was...
Didn't seem quite human...
It's arms seemed to long on it's body and it's torso seemed
More twisted than what an ordinary person could do
The thing didn't see Jon
At this time. Jon panicked and ran for his room.
He closed his door as quietly and quickly as he could.
Jon threw himself into his closet.
A cliché Hiding spot from horror movies but it was all that he had in his room.
Jon tried to quiet his loud breathing
But the slow, loud, footsteps getting closer did not help.
Jon thought about his phone.
He could call the police. Anybody
Jon got a horrible feeling in his gut...
Would they make it on time?
Jon stood in his closet for a second more.
He opened the closet door and quickly ran to his bed lifting his phone.
It was dead.
A feeling of dread washed over Jon.
The footsteps quicked.
Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump.
Once again, Jon couldn't move.
He didn't want to.
The Footsteps stopped outside Jon's bedroom door.
It stayed like that for a moment.
The door creeked open slowly...
Jon didn't move
He looked at the creature that now stood fully exposed
Still, Jon didn't move
He still didn't want to.
Jon seemed to accept the fact that this creature had come...
But then. Jon remembered.
He had been waiting...
