Work isn't done. Get home later. Less time with your family. It's a bad spiral to be in.
I find that this is usually because there is too much
Too much on my to-do list. It becomes daunting. I get distracted easier with there are too many things on my plate.
I've found there are usually 3 things that matter.
Three things that actually matter for work every day. If I do those 3 things, I'm in a good position. The rest can wait or aren't that important. It's just noise.
Do an exceedingly good job at those 3 things
and the rest falls into place. I find I actually have more time on my hands.
My boss is happier.
And I am too.
