Poem about when honesty doesn't go your way.

Honesty

Take a deep breath, remember to breathe

No I don't want to hide it's time to let them see

Open my mouth let it fall like rain

Wash away the tears and all the pain

Pause for a reaction, pray they understand

Feel the weight of fear holding your hand

Anticipated knife wounds they plunge into your soul

But you can't back down don't let the pain show

A minute of conversation and the topic is dropped

You feel your heart sinking like a rock

Let out the air, alone you can breathe

Try to find a sense of calm and relief

Their footsteps retreat and your smile falls away

You'll just have to make them understand you another day.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wow this is amazing you really caught that feeling. It's hard to be brave enough to tell the truth, and it sucks when no one understands.
