Do we not all bleed the colour red?
Do we not all rest our weary heads?
From this earth are we not all fed?
Do we not all mourn the dead?
Do we not all breathe the same air?
Do we not all religious or not hope or sit in prayer?
Do we not give, retain, hold and share?
As we are all human can we not be fair?
Do we not all walk the earth?
Do we not know what life is worth?
Do we not all experience death and birth?
Do we not drink from the rivers and firth?
Why is it worth realising we are all a part of the earth born from it?
Because otherwise our sense of self is torn from it
Torn from the context of earth as our home not the bricks and mortar that lock us in.
We are all neighbours. Nothing tapers the staple necessities that bind us all.
