Olympics -Free form Poem-

When the Greek islands united and stopped their fighting. Zeus cast the mightiest and holiest of lightening.

And all the lands cropped side by side with all their hands. The wars ended the Olympics began.

A contest of sport in the water and on the sand.

Medals were given instead of the pedals of war. And rejoicement at human achievement became the staple and grand.

So as the podiums rise, and the Olympians stand.

We can say that sport is better than wars demands.

And be in awe of human potentiality

Without the context of war as the reality.

Healthy competition, A peaceful decision.

The Olympics what a peaceful vision.
