We should build each other up
Not break each other down.
We should keep each other afloat
Not force one another to drown.
We should help one another live
Not declare that one should be 6 ft underground.
We should listen to one another
And only when we finish should we make a sound.
We should work together.
And try to achieve.
We should forgive
And not allow one another to cleave.
We should be the mask in the deep
Allowing one another to breathe.
We should love one another
So, neither wants to leave.
We don't necessarily need faith
Although, we should give one another a reason to believe.
We should be the tender support
Not the nightmare that makes one seethe
We should together be willing to concede
For the greater victory of the union we weave.
Upon one another we should not siege.
Upon one another we should not deceive.
Otherwise we are blind
And to love we are naive.
