The ability to remember
Those things you wish you could never forget
The timeliness to think
The wonder of persistence
How forsaken is that being
That, upon looking back,
Praise them for they are lost
The food we ate that we never wanted to forget
Those times where we experienced sheer bliss or profundity
Those people whose voices we wish we could hear again
Those make a life worth living.
What good is a sunset if it never happened?
What good is a love if it ceased to ever be?
We take so much for granted, the ability to recall, recite, remember. It's not one given freely, nor does it last forever.
Praise be to it. That which we have experienced and know no longer.
Rejoice to those things which are gone, forgotten, and beyond our comprehension.
Rejoice to the fleeting time we have, of the events that we can no longer discern.
Rejoice to the finality of entropy.
