Today was unlike how it was before. Kids are no longer having fun playing outdoors, people started getting sick, and plants started decaying.

This year is a shock to everyone for the reason that a plague is spreading, and just like plants in winter people started dying each passing day.

As I progress farther into the town, I began to see the two sides each family has.

While one is all happy and joyful, one is filled with sadness and sorrow due to the reason that their family member is sick, while one has all the food they could ever finish in a year,

some are thinking about how they would get by in a day.

Many things are happening in our world right now and we can't do anything about it. For now, all we can do is hope for the best at this time.

After the long walk, I then stopped in front of a house, I knocked and a boy answered he greeted me and asked the reason for my presence.

"Hello, mister! what can I do for you?"

It's quite fun to see and hear innocence and naivety. For a second I too miss my childhood.

"Hello there young one, I am here to take you! we are off to a place where you would be happy! and you will have all of the things your heart desires"

I said smiling while holding my hand out to him.

"But why? I'm happy with the way I live right now"

He replied, my smile falls to a flat line my face started to be in an annoyed expression.

"Why? cause this place doesn't serve you anymore, you are better off coming with me"

I said in a shouting tone while my face was obviously annoyed, the boy was obviously scared with the way I responded.

"But I--" before he can finish a loud cry was heard. The boy then run towards the source of the noise and I followed him.

What we saw was a lifeless body and a mother hugging it while on the ground. The boy was obviously scared but also sad with what he saw.

"So are you ready to go now?" I asked and the boy replied with a nod.

I saw how the boy was sad leaving behind the people he grew up and love.

"Hey why the long face? You should be happy your no longer gonna experience living a bad life" I said

"But they're my family mister, I can't just leave them behind like that" he replied

"Hmm... I tell you what, how do you feel about going through the town one more time and maybe it'll take your mind out of it" I said and he excitedly nods.

We went to different houses each one sadder than the other. I was enjoying it but I didn't know about the boy though, he seemed sad and confused.

I proceeded to ask him what was wrong but he just shrugs and walks away to the next house before we stopped in the garden of the town.

Each touch the flowers starts to wither and decay It was a satisfying view for me, but like earlier, the boy was confused yet again.

I decided to move our rest to the fountain in the middle of the town. We had a nice view of the town.

"Well that was nice but I think it's time to go," I said the boy nodded in response.

As we walk farther away from the town and to our destination the boy spots the difference in the environment and in their town.

"Mister why are all the people inside?" he asked, "So they won't get infected by the illness that is spreading in your town" I replied.

"Mister, why are all the plants dying when we pass by?" He asked again "I don't know maybe because it's winter" I answered.

He proceeded to ask more questions the farther we walk, I replied to each one getting more and more annoyed.

"We are almost there, do you have any more questions?" I asked him unhesitatingly replied, "Who are you mister and why did I saw myself in my mother's arms?

" I stopped, took a deep breath, and let out a sigh.

"You see,

I am both an Angel and a Devil I take good kids to a place where they would be happy for the rest of their lives and bad children to a place where they would know nothing rather than sadness

and regret" I replied to his question I then followed it with "You are a good child so you are going to a place of fun, you will no longer feel pain and sadness. You want that right?"

He replied by saying "of course mister, but I also want to be with my family. So mister why did I die?"

"Because your time is up, you fulfilled your mission well already so your going home, you see all people are bound to go somewhere after they are done with their mission it's just how life is"

The boy nodded and we we're silent the whole journey, we then arrived to our destination it is a place where a giant scale is place and guarded by an Angel and a Devil.

I told the boy the things he had to do to know where he would go. But before he would depart he asked me one final question

"Mister wait you still haven't told me who you are" he said to which I replied with "I am the man with the black coat, I am the man that balances the life and the mortal worlds,

I am the man that takes souls to their final destination, I am Death" I said "Will I ever see you again Mr.

Death?" he asked to which I replied with a smile "Of course, maybe not now but I know I will see you soon. Goodbye child" he replied for the last time with "Goodbye Mister" and then smiled.
