How to Recover from a Loss of a Friendship/Relationship .
I am mourning the death of a close relationship.
I realize that this person and I no longer serve each other and it’s time to move on. We’ve hurt each other, we battle one another, we argue and fight.
I had similar dreams about a month ago..
where I interpreted that I am not letting go of something that I am supposed to let go of. I knew it was about this relationship...
I called the person up and let them know this..
and that I needed to let go. They were hurt and annoyed by request mainly because they didn’t understand it. I shared with them that this was a warning for me and I needed to act in obedience..
And so we parted ways..
Weeks later, someone mentioned this person’s name and instantly my heart began to yearn for the relationship again….
Just then, I reached out to them ..
(even though I knew I had to part ways). This act of disobedience caused me a lot of pain.
The same pain that my dreams wanted me to avoid.
Something devastating happened between us and I thought we could work things out but that was not the case.
So I learned from my mistake.
I am mourning the death of the relationship once again. The situation that transpired between us was so devastating that it shook my entire world apart for some time..
but it’s taken me a shorter time to recover this time ...
Let me share with you what I did to recover:
Regain control of my mind
My thoughts were racing. I had to rebuke every thought that came to my mind about the situation…each and every time
Dream a New Dream
have to dream new dreams of things that I want in my future. Better friendships. Better relationships. More love.
Ask God to Let My Emotional Ties to Them Die
I felt like this person had died and I was mourning their death. It’s hard on you emotionally but it is a part of the process of the death of a relationship.
Pray for my enemies
I prayed for them and asked God to heal their heart too as well as mine. So I pray God will fill their heart with peace, joy and forgiveness.
Self-hypnosis speaks to the subconscious part of your mind so all those past bad memories and experiences that you go through with someone are recorded there. I chose to reprogram those thoughts
Once I regained control over my mind and it stopped racing from those bad thoughts, I felt ready to start meditation again. God needs a space to work things out for you in your mind.
Listen to positive, inspirational music and speakers
What you feed your mind, is what ends up playing out in your life. I feed my mind good, peaceful music about love, peace and victory. I keep it on constant.
I believe in the power of I AM. It is very biblical and I must say is one of the greatest tools I’ve used that has helped me to recover from pain swiftly.
You must make it a habit to speak to yourself ..
