And so I looked back There once again To flames of war I left behind. There rose smoke black And nothing remained; A place so far From my mind.
The green of leaves Turned charcoal black. No flowers have bloomed As time passed. New year we live; Spring it lacked. Our lands they burned To its last.
One day we’ll remember Time gone by, Of moments of youth When we smiled. The scars remain ever Till we die. Pain we can’t soothe, Only make mild.
Now we should start To teach ourselves There’s more out there For our lives. Paint it in art, see for yourself. World we should care; Make it survive.
