They say to me that the color of my skin, matters about if they should let me in.
Just because I'm not perfectly white, does it not mean that I sleep in the night?
Do I not eat and drink like you? Do I not cry and bruise like you do?
Am I not worthy of a normal life? But rather feel the pain of a double-edged knife.
When it presses against my skin, do I not draw blood too? It doesn't seem to matter to the likes of you.
Even the murder of one innocent man, can change the world, believe me it can.
I am a human, I deserve to live, it's the only explanation I can give.
... Racial discrimination is in the news a lot at the moment. Remember, we are all humans. Treasure the gift we have been given, even if you believe it was given by different entities.
Life is precious, do not waste it. You only get one chance- be kind to others, though they may not be or look like you. Because that's what makes us human. That's what makes you special. So smile. :)
