I saw an angel one day. Her eyelashes held drops of moisture. *May be triggering*
(Poem and message about today's prompt: spiritual and a message to all the hidden angels in the world. You guys are amazing!)

Angels

I saw an angel one day.

I saw an angel one day. Her eyelashes held drops of moisture. Her cheeks were wet with sorrow and pain.

I saw an angel one day. Her eyelashes held drops of moisture. Her cheeks were wet with sorrow and pain. but her eyes shone brighter than diamonds. Bright and enchanting.

I saw an angel one day.

I saw an angel one day. He had been hurt and lied to by everyone. Those he loved and cared for snipped him out of their lives.

I saw an angel one day. He had been hurt and lied to by everyone. Those he loved and cared for snipped him out of their lives. One cut, then two.

I saw an angel one day. He had been hurt and lied to by everyone. Those he loved and cared for snipped him out of their lives. One cut, then two. But when I looked at him, he was perfect to me.

I saw an angel one day.

I saw an angel one day. She had scars running the length of her arms in neat patterns.

I saw an angel one day. She had scars running the length of her arms in neat patterns. Standing out against her pale skin and purple bruises, some yellowing after time.

I saw an angel one day. She had scars running the length of her arms in neat patterns. Standing out against her pale skin and purple bruises, some yellowing after time. She may be broken, but to me, she looked strong.

I saw an angel one day.

I saw an angel one day. He was broken. His body battered and bruised.

I saw an angel one day. He was broken. His body battered and bruised. But his spirit was alive, unmarred and stunning.

To others, they had fallen from grace.

To others, they had fallen from grace. To me, they were angels nonetheless.

... Take a look in the mirror. You are one of these angels too. Some of you may be bruised and marred. Some may believe that they are not worthy. But guess what...

I say you are. :D Now you just need to believe it. (ps. I realized that lately I have been beginning to sort of explain my work, which I think takes away from the reading experience. So you can figure this one out for yourselves!)

That's Iqra... OUT.
