We pass each other by in the hallway.

Her

by hypersl0w

My eyes follow the lines in the floor as I move along the pavement.

I'm not moving fast,

and I'm not moving particularly slow either.

The floor is full of details, but there is nothing to see.

As I move my gaze upwards, I see her outline through the corner of my eye.

I try to escape her notice, but in turn I notice her hair is pinned away from her face.

Her uniform is pressed, with the top button undone.

Her eyes–

I didn't even manage to catch her attention.

I return my gaze to the floor in shame.
