Was given a challenge prompt for writing from perspectives... Specifically the one of some with a crush, and it's especially trying when I'm disinterested in anything in relation to romance or love. But I had actually had a lot of fun doing this, and a few laughs. Lesson learned: try things first, it might not be as bad or boring as you thought.

Infatuation

by Housecat

You forged your way here, a stowaway

Sickly smoke rolling from your lips languidly,

like the wispy puffs of a cloud Announcing your presence A warning, the calm before the storm

Mesmerizing, catching my eye

Just as the hummingbird flocks to a rose I flocked to you

Cherry cigarettes crumpled my breaths,

Bullets ricocheted inside my chest

Dangerous, but I didn’t listen,

all I could I hear was the tones of your angelic voice

Your Cheshire grin, enticed me,

oh your amber eyes compelled me

Before I knew it, I was walking to your tune

Nicely done. This was creatively and skillfully executed. I loved the way you wrenched the POV around to give it a whole new perspective. Great job.
