My internet friends...
They didn't know it but they helped me through a rough patch in my life. It was minor, but it still mattered.
Thousands of miles separated us, but over a little thing I like to call the web, we bonded over mutual interests and a little bit of banter.
They're a bit younger than me,
but you tend to forget that when they're not there in person!
But the way they talk makes you think that they are far more mature than they are.
The internet was like a veil, hiding all the attributes that would normally segregate us from one another.
The attributes that has society saying 'You can't be friends with them! It's too weird and perverted!'
I'm not saying that that is a good thing, because people can use that veil to deceive. Admittedly, it was a little peculiar and raw at first.
But we were honest from the beginning. In a way it was a blessing.
And I gained three new sisters and a brother.
And our family expanded along the way.
It started off as a modest comment chain on Wattpad.
But then it spiralled gloriously out of control, and now new people are joining in, wanting to be a part of it.
The best part is, we're from different countries.
Americans, Britons, Australians, Lebanese and more united through one thing that we take for granted.
This is World Wide Web:
Establishing friendships since 1990.
