An Autumn walk reminds us how nature prepares to rest and is beautiful

Preparing for Winter

by H. Lobecker

On a crisp Autumn day On a walk with my cousin We took time to see beauty

Glorious gifts are received from the branching cathedral above

Tired summer leaves Exhausted of green are released by trees

Splendor surrounds us as oranges and yellows whisper down

Leaving and crunching our feet find resting browns

The forest prepares for winter.
