S.L.H.

by hannahdycus

my skin carries the stain

of bonfire, of summer like your initials traced shakily into the patch of new pavement outside my home

like your initials traced instead by your fingertips, nails,

teeth, lips, tongue into the new skin all over my body my skin, however, will soon fade into a different smell

of different summers,

while it keeps the permanent imprint of you

like the pavement outside my home
