Ann rushed to the clearing. Whenever Chief came he would bring her a chocolate bar. She knew that Joshua would want it but Ann needed that chocolate.
She needed a sweet, in the wilderness most things are bitter. Besides sugar meant more energy. And Ann also needed that considering she woke up every other hour.
As the helicopter landed she could hear Joshua panting as he finally caught up to her. he only probed her point that he was an old man with that.
When the blades stopped spinning a tall beast of a man stepped out of the aircraft. He had a short bushy beard on his chocolate face.
And on that face was the biggest smile Josua had ever seen.
Watching from behind a tree he saw the burly man run to catch Ann in his arms. They stood there for a moment before setting each other down. Chief and Ann were just talking now.
He saw the little fox point to the trees and assumed that they were talking about him.
Cautiously Joshua stepped out from behind the tree curious. He slowly walked toward the two. Finally standing right next to them he had a whole new appreciation for how big the guy was.
"So you must be the guy that Ann talked about, hmmm I thought you'd be older". Chief chuckled. But Ann tends to be...exaggerative of people at times."
"I got-t that-t part-t". Great now he was stuttering, just great.
