It's my favorite time of year,
Finally flipping to the number twelve.
Christmas time is finally here,
Time for cookies for Santa, and his tiny little elves.
The lights on the town,
The star on the tree.
No pandemic can bring me down,
Not even the bitter and colder side of me.
Because even if it will look a little different this year,
A tradition is a tradition.
Hanging up the Christmas lights, with the snow globes so clear,
December has me missing and wishing.
Trying to keep my spirits up this holiday,
Now that it's no longer November.
I'm waiting to take off with you on Santa's sleigh,
Because I want to know what it feels like, to not be alone this December.
