Head above the sea,
Fish out of water.
It's getting hard for me to breathe,
As the air is getting hotter.
I can't find anybody like me,
In my big clear fish tank.
Missing my old self completely,
Before I was hurting, and before my heart sank.
Everyone says to just forget,
About what happened in the past.
But I won't let,
My emotions slip away that fast.
With gills of iron, scales of steel,
It's ironic how someone hasn't yet grabbed my hand.
But they don't know how it feels,
When you're drowning on dry land.
