did we ever felt it?

numb.

we were there,

we were there, at that moment.

when those streetlights blinked

when those streetlights blinked synchronizing with our eyes,

with its light gently melting

with its light gently melting upon these eyelids,

when life seemed to arise

when life seemed to arise from each discarded pollen,

from each discarded pollen, that still lay scattered,

when our innocence

when our innocence never knew the words

when our innocence never knew the words of our deafening silence

but a glitch

but a glitch is all it was

but a glitch is all it was,

accompanied by

accompanied by our supple arid noises,

that night

that night the stars did shine,

that night the stars did shine, in a fogged symmetry,

a process of decaying,

a process of dissolving,

each other thing passing through us,

each other thing passing through us, when nothing stayed,

and everything faded

when nothing else was felt,

when nothing else was felt, but just a touch of numbness

when nothing else was felt, but just a touch of numbness.

we never felt that moment

we never felt that moment.
