Withered fingers tremble, Words are screaming inside me,

Mental Block

Withered fingers tremble,

Withered fingers tremble, Words are screaming inside me,

Stuck between the throat, from where it can't be plunged down nor spit out,

Their shadows lay beneath my feet,

Slowly

reaching up, Slowly,

reaching up, Slowly, Up, towards my neck,

Greyed sanity afloat in this heinous ocean of shadows,

I try to hold the pen,

I try to hold the pen, Alas, it slips,

Slips into the penumbra of crumpled words,

Now words hum, with no voice,

Melody that once was an antidote to this soul, now seems to die,

Tell me how to not fall into the moana of my blank extinct words,

Now I'll breathe,

And then drown...
