Just a quick little free verse poem for the daily prompt

Diamond

She's so insecure about being loved

She's so insecure about being loved She feels as if she isn't worth it

She's so insecure about being loved She feels as if she isn't worth it Through her eyes, she's a piece of coal

She's so insecure about being loved She feels as if she isn't worth it Through her eyes, she's a piece of coal She can't see the beautiful diamonds she shelters inside

Through my eyes, she sparkles brighter than the sun

Through my eyes, she sparkles brighter than the sun Because even underneath all the pressure thrown at her by her peers

Through my eyes, she sparkles brighter than the sun Because even underneath all the pressure thrown at her by her peers She never gave up or changed for anyone

Through my eyes, she sparkles brighter than the sun Because even underneath all the pressure thrown at her by her peers She never gave up or changed for anyone Instead, she became something that they could never come close to

If only she could see the beauty inside of her

If only she could see the beauty inside of her Perhaps she'd love herself as much as I love her
