A poem about the Greek god Dionysus (and a small story time thingy in the beginning)

Deus Theatrum

A/N: I was going to give some background information (and a small story) as to what this sorry excuse of a poem is for, but if you want to just skip ahead and read it then go right ahead.

Basically, this poem was for a theatre project, and one of the options we had was to write a poem from the point of view of Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, parties, and theatre. So despite how crappy the poem turned out, I did this prompt.

I know I'm being more critical about this poem than my other ones, but that's because I didn't really have that much enthusiasm to do this poem, even though I absolutely love Greek mythology.

I lacked motivation/enthusiasm doing this one because there's this one kid in my class who can be a total jacka*s and when I mentioned to the teacher I'd like to do the poem, he groaned and said (and I'm quoting this) "I've doomed the poetic community to a terrible fate."

This guy has never read my poetry and he's already saying I suck at it (he's not wrong though) so hearing him say that was a great boost to my already low self-esteem! (Cue the sarcasm)

So uh....yeah, that's why this poem sucks. I wasn't in the mood to write it, but it was for a grade so I didn't have the choice. However, if you're still planning on reading it, then you should know the title 'Deus Theatrum' literally means 'Theatre God' in Latin. I hope you guys don't cringe too much while reading it (Even though I already turned it in, feedback/constructive criticism would be appreciated)

Zeus may have the Olympics Games in Olympia,

Apollo has his Pyanopsia,

But nothing will compare to the City Dionysia!
