when a part of you wishes to be everything...

A hundred lives

when i was little

when i was little, people would often ask me

when i was little, people would often ask me "when you grow up

when i was little, people would often ask me "when you grow up, what do you want to be? "

and being a complete naive

and being a complete naive and plain

and being a complete naive and plain and impeccant from the heart,

and being a complete naive and plain and impeccant from the heart, i would say,

i want to be an aeronaut

i want to be an aeronaut - who could dive into the oceans

i want to be an aeronaut - who could dive into the oceans to embrace its marine world ;

and a dancer

and a dancer - who could carol the melodies

and a dancer - who could carol the melodies of lush green earth ;

and a scientist

and a scientist - who could alter the space and time,

and a botanist

and a botanist - who could play with words and rhymes.

i want to be a cowboy

i want to be a cowboy wandering on the Canadian prairies,

and a superman

and a superman, trendy in the films of eighties ;

and a tribal girl

and a tribal girl dancing upon the naga hills ;

and a common worker

and a common worker laboring in the dairy mills.

well,

well, the list is pretty much long

well, the list is pretty much long, so i have made it short. "

but somewhere in my heart i knew

but somewhere in my heart i knew this is impossible

for i can not live hundred lives

for i can not live hundred lives when i only have one.

and i never wished to die

and i never wished to die cause i wanted to be,

and i never wished to die cause i wanted to be, what i can never become.
