A poem about a lady with mysterious scars.

Scars

by glennhenley

Scars line her face and neck Each one like a rippling beck

Each has a different story to tell Of bravery and fear in parallel

At each glance her visage pales But still she stands strong without fail

Inquisitive questions come forth like a storm Still she bears them in every form

She is proud of her victory wounds everywhere For she has won her battle; let them stare
