A mother's love for her son.

Dear Son

by glennhenley

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder they say Well to me you're beautiful in every way

Your still-childish laugh rings out Your bubbling enthusiasm when you shout

I remember you when you were young When I raised you, my dear son

Today as you stand so tall and proud My love as a mother is Oh so loud

The sound of your voice is like a spring Bringing health and joy to me while I'm living

Oh son how you've grown But to the same old things still you are prone

While in features you may have changed My precious boy you still remain

It's awesome. Kind of opens a window into a mother's mind! Love it!

@bernardtwindwil Thank you so much! It's so nice to hear that I conveyed the emotions of the mother to you as the reader.

This is absolutely precious. It was excellent from a structural standpoint. The emotion and love rush from your words to the reader. Great poem!!!!!
