This is older, i wrote this a couple months ago while I was going through a major transition in my life. I edited out a few pieces so this is short and sweet. Enjoy!

Breathless

by ginaschultz

Trying to exhaust all air from my lungs,

I am breathless.

Thinking to myself, how long can you fight this?

Feeling all alone in a crowd of lost souls,

No one here can do this all alone.

There is sanity in loneliness.

What other words is their to speak?

Fell through the ground and it's getting hard to breathe.

I won't say goodbye.

See you later is more optimistic.

Just because the ice is getting thinner,

and there's nothing left of me.

This is like an ode to weltschmerz written by 19th-century German poets. You did a beautiful job bringing your emotions or lack thereof to the forefront. You maintained a pleasnt meter throughout the poem. great job!!!
