I opened up my messages and clicked on my chat with my best friend Creel. [hahah like his phone?]
Even though he sat next to me, I couldn't risk talking to him. Mr. Putter heard everything in this classroom.
Whether it was someone whispering on the other side of the room or someone tapping on their desk in the back row, he heard all. Knew all.
I started typing a message to Creel.
But then, to my horror, the incredibly loud tapping noise of my keyboard filled the completely silent classroom.
Mr. Putter paused right in the middle of "Kristoff Kolombus, founder of this world-"
He slowly looked up from his outdated textbook and looked directly at me.
I blurted out a curse. Mr. Putter's eyes flashed dangerously.
"Please refrain from texting your girlfriend until after class." he said, holding out his hand for my phone.
The class snickered at that. I felt my face burn as I walked up to Mr. Putter and handed him my phone.
"Pick it up at the end of the day."
"But, sir, I have Track right after school-"
"Then, I'll just have to keep this safe until Friday. No exceptions, Mr. Darrison." He added as I opened my mouth again to object, "To your seat."
I slumped down in my chair, fuming. No way was I picking up my phone, Friday. I had Track on Friday, too. I'd have to be late to Track today. Hopefully Coach Easle would be lenient.
Then I thought yeah right. Coach Easle was as lenient as Mr. Putter. At least to me. I certainly wasn't her favorite. Though I was a good runner, I wasn't "well-behaved." I talk too much.
Also, I'm impulsive. People say I have zero common sense. That I don't use the brain god gave me. But I disagree. I use my brain, just not at the right moments. After all, I've got okay grades.
I sighed. Today was going to be a long day.
That's it! Thanks for reading! Comments and likes very appreciated! Also, yeah, I keep using that one picture of Daway, but I just love his expression there.
