The Velvet Healer(Chapter 4, Part 2)

by forestlily

No matter how much they tried to repulse each other, likewise, a peacock couldn't stop itself from dancing in monsoon, her blossoms couldn't bloom without his rain drops.

Around 10 O' clock...

Priyasha blinked awake...just to experience a sudden encounter with Abhiraj.

She hurriedly tried to get up but he stopped her. "Don't." He whispered pushing her down on bed."You're burning. Your stupid rain-dance got you fever." "Wha-?" She touched her forehead.

"But what are you doing here?" She blinked. "I-uh" he paused. "You should sleep now." She gazed right into his eyes and something shifted inside her.

Abhiraj noticed that, "What is it?" "Nothing." She shook his head,"It's just my insecurities manipulating my confusion to believe in all the lies."

He knew exactly what she was specifying to, however, he probed his visual caress on her and asked, "What are those insecurities and lies that are bugging you?"

She blinked away the tears that were forming slowly and replied quietly, "If I tell you so, will they make any difference?"

He eyed her in disbelief. She was trying to reach him.

She said again,"Don't you really understand, your contradicting acts confuse me? What do you want?"She asked defeated. He looked at her moist eyes unable to reply something back.

She looked at him for some seconds then closed her eyes. He figured she was not giving in anything else. He sat there quite until she was asleep.

Now, he was considering seriously, this innocent boldness might end up breaking his façade, which he couldn't allow.

He stood up, inhaled slowly & gazed down at her. How could he ever be able to hate this woman? He had been falling since the first day he had seen her.

He closed his eyes and ran one of his hands through his hair. This venomous presence of this woman was slow poisoning him.

The window shutters were banging from the wild wind. He closed the window and silently left her room. He was in deep trouble.
