Flowers sway on me with a powdery touch
Soft silky petals with pleasant teasing clutch
Waxed waterproof to heaven's thunderous rain,
Yet my trickling tears soak through them as to drain.
No more were refreshing dews to lighten my day
I felt grievously wicked from my stupid play
Turning everything to soggy lukewarm mush
For merely a split second delight from a brush.
Now they feel like pasty chalk dust
Stuck on, It conflicted me like
A wool sock, SoGgY and crusty
