Sitting here was nothing short of catastrophic

Shooting Stars

Sitting here was nothing short of catastrophic

it was like breathing fire scales

only to be swallowed by a dragon

it was nothing my two hands couldn't hold

yet it was everything my heart could not contain

it was flames dropping in the dead of the night

and me not seeing a hint of it because I was blinded

by the intensity of its flare

looking at shooting stars

felt like staring straight at the sun
