I stared at the darkness all around, it was consuming me into its empty void. I blinked wondering if I was alone or if there was someone else.
I called into the void, asking if there was anyone else. When I received no reply I looked at the shards below me. Shards that were caused by my screams.
I hugged myself trying not to let the icy grip of the darkness consume me fully even though only half of me was left. Blood fell from my hand as I picked up one of the shards.
I stared at my reflection and in the background, I could see millions of faces staring back at me. I looked behind me and did not find them but as I glanced at the shard I saw them again.
They all had different eyes peering at me from the darkness, no they were the darkness. I tried to focus on all the eyes but there were too many.
Coal, amber, blue, crystal, green, glazed, milky, cold, fiery, lifeless, emotionless, nameless eyes stared back at me.
I called out into the dark once again, asking who's eyes they belonged to but received no reply once again.
I dropped the shard, not wanting to think of the millions of eyes that were watching everything I did. I curled into a ball and called out into the darkness again.
"What's your name," I asked the millions of eyes that surrounded me in the darkness.
Millions of voices cried out all at once, I couldn't understand the voices not while they talked at the same time at least. I felt a cold lifeless hand touch my shoulder.
I looked up and saw a pair of amber eyes observing me. They held no expression, no life, no emotion. I blinked as the amber eyes replied.
"We are nameless."
